Sfera international participated in the final partner meeting as part of the project BIC “Building Intercultural Competences”, funded under Erasmus+ Programme, which aims at raising awareness among young people about the importance of intercultural communication and mutual understanding.
The event took place offline in Varna. The main target of the whole meeting was to familiarize participating NGOs with results and activities in a pursue related to the BIC values and aims.
With the arrival of globalization and digitalization, we are encouraged to talk and interact with different nationalities and characters. We can connect via the Internet with a person on the other side of the globe within a short time, go to youth exchanges and study abroad. This second piloting session was about developing skills needed to ease intercultural communication and challenge the stereotypes we were all brought up with. The main target of this event was to share best practices regarding intercultural communication and obstacles young people can encounter when in the intercultural environment.
