Biodiversity Outdoor Learning

The aim of this project is for people to learn about biodiversity and to provide them with an opportunity to protect it at the local level. For the purpose of this project, an E-book about biodiversity was created, and also, 2 Natural History Walks and 2 Treasure Hunts were organized. The Natural History Walk allowed participants to learn about the local ecosystem, including its flora and fauna, whether local species are indigenous, and the peculiarities of the local climate and how it affects its biodiversity. The Treasure Hunt allowed people to learn about biodiversity in three locations: Funchal, Bitola, and Cantabria.

The project Biodiversity and Outdoor learning is in partnership with My Madeira Island and Abrazo House. The project is financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union.
