Creativity and Social Entrepreneurship for All: A creativity and innovation course for youth workers from 7 European and non-European countries
The association l’Alqueria Projectes Educatius gathered 20 youth workers from 7 international youth organizations to participate in a non-formal training course on the topic “creativity and innovation in youth organizations” from October 22nd to October 28th, 2021. The course is part of the Creativity and Social Entrepreneurship for All project, the first edition, and is co-funded by the Erasmus + programme.
The project, coordinated by the association l’Alqueria Projectes Educatius, supports non-profit organizations in Romania, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Spain, Bulgaria, Italy, and Portugal to explore concrete methods and tools for creativity, innovation, and design thinking to address challenges faced by young people and local communities.
“The crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic can be a driver for creativity and innovation at the national and international levels. The involvement of youth workers in non-profit organizations is needed to help young people deal with uncertainty and identify solutions to individual and community problems through creativity and design thinking methods. “Thus, through this project and training course, we set out to provide them with the knowledge, tools, and courage to facilitate innovation processes in their communities,” said Sandra Ubeda, CSEA project coordinator.
During the six-day training course, the 20 participants designed 3 models of local interventions dedicated to young people with limited opportunities. In the coming months, the non-profit organizations will work together to make a creative road map that can be used by people who want to suggest places where young people can come up with ideas to solve a wide range of local problems.
L’Alqueria Projectes Educatius supports, through local initiatives and international projects, the training of young workers with modern and attractive work tools that support young people in acquiring life skills such as creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, decision-making methods, flexibility, and adaptability.
