Sondaggio Progetto “NECME- Nuove forme di cittadinanza europea nell’era della migrazione”
Con il lancio ufficiale di un sondaggio online sulla percezione pubblica della migrazione, il progetto europeo “NECME- Nuove forme di cittadinanza europea nell’era della migrazione” è iniziato in 16 diversi paesi europei.
Il progetto, finanziato nell’ambito del programma Europa per i cittadini dell’Unione Europea, coinvolge 17 organizzazioni della società civile provenienti da 16 paesi diversi, ed è coordinato dalla Fondazione Falcone, nata nel 1992 in seguito all’uccisione del magistrato Giovanni Falcone nella Strage di Capaci.
Il progetto mira a esplorare come i fenomeni migratori influenzano la società civile europea in termini di nuove esperienze di impegno civico e cittadinanza attiva.
Il punto di partenza è appunto un sondaggio online, lanciato simultaneamente in tutti i paesi del progetto, che mira a comprendere quale sia la percezione fra i cittadini dei fenomeni migratori.
Il sondaggio, elaborato dall’Università di Palermo e dall’Università di Valmiera (Lettonia) permetterà di cogliere e analizzare la percezione dei fenomeni migratori e dei migranti nella società europea, anche analizzando come i migranti possono essere vittime della criminalità organizzata o esserne coinvolti.
“Il costante flusso migratorio durante gli ultimi anni sta influenzando la società civile europea – ha detto Maria Falcone, presidente della “Fondazione Falcone” – e tutti noi dobbiamo assumere un ruolo attivo per superare xenofobi, intolleranti e discriminanti nei comportamenti.
Attraverso il coinvolgimento di diversi soggetti interessati (gli insegnanti, i rappresentanti delle associazioni e delle agenzie europee, amministratori di enti pubblici, i giornalisti, le forze dell’ordine,…) e l’adozione di metodologie diverse, i partecipanti saranno stimolati ad agire, come singoli cittadini o come organizzato La società civile, per facilitare l’inserimento dei migranti nella società europea e contribuirà a creare sinergie tra società civile e gli enti pubblici, anche attraverso il ruolo del volontariato.
L’ indagine sarà condotta online durante i prossimi due mesi ed è disponibile all’indirizzo https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/C5XKDLF.
I paesi coinvolti nel progetto sono: Albania, Belgio, Bulgaria, Croazia, Italia, Lettonia, Malta, Macedonia, Germania, Grecia, Polonia, Portogallo, Repubblica Ceca, Romania, Serbia, Spagna e i partners sono Associazioni non profit, fondazioni e università.

Participation: The event involved 26 citizens, including 5 participants from the city of Palermo (IT), 1 participant from the city of Bitola (MK), 1 participant from the city of Pascani (RO), 1 participant from the city of Tallinn (EE), 1 participant from the city of Thessaloniki (GR), 1 participant from the city of Amarante (PT), 1 participant from the city of Varna (BG), 1 participant from the city of Brtonigla-Verteneglio (HR), 1 participant from the city of Barcelona (ES), 1 participant from the city of Belgrade (RS), 1 participant from the city of Torun (PL), 1 participant from the city of Bruxelles (BE), 1 participant from the city of Prague (CZ), 1 participant from the city of Leipzig (DE), 1 participant from the city of Vilnius (LT), and 7 participants from the city of Valmiera (LV).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Valmiera from April 20–21, 2017.

Participation: The event involved 28 citizens, including 12 participants from the city of Palermo (IT), 1 participant from the city of Bitola (MK), 1 participant from the city of Pascani (RO), 1 participant from the city of Tirana (AL), 1 participant from the city of Thessaloniki (GR), 1 participant from the city of Amarante (PT), 2 participants from the city of Dobrich (BG), 1 participant from the city of Brtonigla-Verteneglio (HR), 1 participant from the city of Barcelona (ES), 1 participant from the city of Belgrade (RS), 1 participant from the city of Torun (PL), 1 participant from the city of Bruxelles (BE), 1 participant from the city of Prague (CZ), 1 participant from the city of Leipzig (DE), 1 participant from the city of Zejtun (MT), and 1 participant from the city of Valmiera (LV).
Location / Dates: The event took place in Palermo from May 21–May 25, 2017.
Short description: The aim of the event was to show participants how the integration of immigrants can be achieved through the active commitment of public institutions working at a local level and of organized civil society and volunteers. Moreover, thanks to the meeting with some prosecutors committed to the fight against organized crime, the event gave a lot of insights into how smuggling is one of the businesses of organized crime.

Location / Dates: The event took place in Vienna from September 13–15, 2017.
Short description: Participants took part in two meetings at FRA – European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights – and UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime. The aim of the event was to raise awareness on the topic of human rights and to overcome potential attitudes of xenophobia, racism, intolerance, and discrimination. Moreover, they have deepened the topic of trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants, and their links with international organized crime.

Short description: Local dissemination meetings were carried out in 13 partner countries from October 2017 to April 2018 to disseminate the results of the activities carried out previously. Meetings involved civil society actors and institutional representatives active in the process of integration of immigrants.
